Responsibilities- Develop and manage new commercial banking relationships to expand the bank’s portfolio.
- Assess client needs and deliver tailored financial products and services to business customers.
- Negotiate, structure, and process commercial loans, ensuring proper documentation and risk management.
- Monitor and maintain the quality and profitability of assigned commercial loan portfolios.
- Cross-sell additional banking products to deepen relationships and achieve budgeted growth targets.
- Collaborate with credit and loan servicing teams to ensure thorough credit analysis and regulatory compliance.
- Actively participate in networking, community, and industry events to enhance business development efforts and nurture referral sources.
- Stay current on banking regulations, complete annual compliance training, and recommend policy improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- At least three years of specialized commercial lending experience or commercial loan/business development.
- Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and presentation software.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and interpret lending regulations.
- Experience in managing client relationships and driving new business opportunities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally to attend meetings, events, and branch visits.
- Specialized training in commercial lending or certifications relevant to banking.
- Familiarity with SBA 7A/504C lending and loan workout strategies.
- Experience presenting commercial credit proposals to committees or senior management.
- Active participation in local professional or community organizations.
- Ability to offer guidance or mentorship to junior commercial lenders.
