The Panther Group is hiring experienced Mechanical Technicians for a leading Advanced Robotics & Mission Systems manufacturer in the Franklin, MA area.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with electro-mechanical assembly experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, testing, and inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies while following engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to delivering high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble, fabricate, test, and inspect electro-mechanical assemblies
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, schematics, bills of materials, and work instructions
- Install and assemble a variety of electrical and mechanical components
- Perform manufacturing tasks with limited engineering guidance
- Safely operate hand tools, torque tools, measuring instruments, soldering equipment, and other assembly tools
- Perform hand soldering as needed
- Ensure all work meets quality and customer specifications
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
- Organize and maintain assembly workstations and tools
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production goals
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2–5 years of manufacturing experience involving both electrical and mechanical assembly
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials
- Experience using hand tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic shop-floor math
- Ability to manage priorities and meet production schedules in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience performing hand soldering
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and/or J-STD-001 standards
- Experience working with complex electro-mechanical assemblies
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work and customer requirements.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment and follow all safety protocols.
Pay up to $25 per hour depending on experience.
