Work Shift8‑hour second shift
Role OverviewOperate blow‑mold/PET/injection molding machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. Responsible for troubleshooting process problems, performing minor maintenance, and following Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities- Use correct PPE and follow safety policies.
- Maintain punctuality and adhere to the work schedule.
- Work effectively with others as part of a cross‑functional team.
- Participate in continuous improvement processes.
- Adhere to general manufacturing policies and safety standards.
- Keep the work area clutter‑free, clean, and organized.
- Perform preventive maintenance on mold, neck, blow pin, and other mechanical components.
- Operate blow‑mold/PET/injection molding machines to produce quality bottles.
- Follow quality control and blow‑mold process procedures.
- Conduct bottle inspections, including drop tests on designated lines.
- Inspect quality during production, packaging, and labeling; perform audits, weigh checks, and quality checks.
- Adjust settings to meet product specifications.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on blow‑mold equipment.
- Escalate bottle abnormalities, defects, and quality issues immediately.
- Monitor packaging material supplies and replenish as needed.
- Handle dropped bottles, place them into bins or a grinder if needed.
- Ensure correct labeling and packaging per customer requirements.
- Move finished goods to the designated area.
- Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, and line efficiencies.
- Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
- Follow instructions from the Lead Operator or Supervisor; request assistance on unusual problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Basic computer experience.
- Experience with blow‑mold machines.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Completion of Altium Production/Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire.
The role requires frequent standing, walking, grasping, handling, reaching, and using hands and arms. Occasionally the employee must climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently lifts, pushes, pulls, or moves up to 50 pounds.
Work EnvironmentEmployee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is usually loud, and temperatures fluctuate between hot and cold. Personal protective equipment is required in the production department and other designated areas.
Pay Range$23.17 – $29.57 per hour.
