CNC Machine Mechanic - Entry to Mid-Level

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a CNC Machine Mechanic for a Global Medical Device Company in Franklin, MA. Job Type: Contract – 4+ Months

Location:

Onsite – Franklin, MA Pay: $30.00–$33.00 per hour DOE

Schedule:

Typically 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; flexible start time with the workday ending no later than 5:30 PM. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically skilled individual who wants to build a career in CNC machine maintenance. Extensive CNC experience is not required. The company is willing to train the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a hands-on attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment
  • Identify and report issues such as air leaks, oil leaks, and other maintenance concerns
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Assist with maintenance of CNC mills, lathes, EDMs, and other manufacturing equipment
  • Analyze equipment issues and help prevent machine downtime
  • Document maintenance activities and report problems to senior maintenance technicians
  • Work with Engineering and Maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues
  • Follow all safety, FDA, ISO, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) requirements
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing, mechanical, or maintenance experience; CNC maintenance experience is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
  • Experience with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or troubleshooting is a plus
  • Manufacturing experience in an FDA-regulated environment preferred
  • Strong computer skills; SAP experience is a plus
  • GDP (Good Documentation Practices) experience required
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings is a plus
  • Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and dependable
  • Strong communication skills and a coachable attitude
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment

You don't need to be an expert CNC mechanic.
