Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

As an RN, you perform direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act.

• Deliver individualized nursing care to adult patients having cardiac catheterization procedures and specialized radiology procedures, including prep and recovery.
• Provide care for patients undergoing specialized cardiac tests on adult and pediatric patients.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, active RN license in the State of Tennessee.
• Additional courses in physiology, hemodynamic monitoring, and EKG interpretation.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Critical Care staff nurse.
• Experience in intensive care nursing (ICU/ER).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
