Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”
The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
- Provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models
- Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and support organization values
- Assess patient pain regularly and participate in pain management
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s)
- Document care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs proactively
- Teach patients/families/caregivers about disease, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures
- Translate complex medical terminology into patient-friendly language
- Prepare patients and families for future self-management
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of employment start date (RN)
- Registered Nurse Associate Degree within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or TNCC Instructor certification within 6 months of employment start date
- No travel required
- No prior experience required
