Overview

iAutomation, a full-service automation company, developing robotic solutions and offering design, engineering, and integration (DE&I) services, product support, and production services, has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance in Franklin, Massachusetts
.

The Senior Manager of Quality Assurance is responsible for leading quality across iAutomation’s manufacturing facilities in Massachusetts, Florida, and Wisconsin. This role owns the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO standards, and customer requirements.

The Manager acts as the senior quality authority within Operations, partnering closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Management to drive consistent execution, risk reduction, and continuous improvement across all sites.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for quality and safety across all production facilities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop site-level quality resources; ensure consistent standards, expectations, and execution.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for significant quality and safety issues impacting customers, compliance, or operations.
  • Own and continuously improve the ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System and related safety processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits; ensure timely and effective corrective actions.
  • Facilitate Management Review processes and ensure follow-through on actions and improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to ensure robust process controls, standard work, and effective risk management.
  • Oversee root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities for quality defects and safety incidents.
  • Support New Product Introductions (NPI) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by ensuring quality and safety requirements are integrated and validated.
  • Define, monitor, and report quality and safety KPIs, including defect rates, customer complaints, audit findings, and safety performance.
  • Use data and trend analysis to identify systemic issues and prioritize improvement initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional continuous improvement efforts to reduce variation, scrap, rework, and operational risk.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve quality issues and improve process capability.
  • Closely support customer interactions related to quality performance, audits, and corrective actions as required.
  • Ensure clear communication of quality expectations, standards, and changes across the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of progressive quality and/or in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, OSHA regulations, and quality systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading audits, managing CAPA, and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP and QMS systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent.
  • Experience in automation manufacturing, industrial equipment, or electronics assembly environments.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Salary & Additional Information

Salary Range
: $120,000 – $160,000 annually.

This range reflects the expected base pay for this position in Massachusetts and is based on internal equity. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and performance.
