Lead Sales Engineer

Eaton’s North American Sales division is currently seeking a Lead Sales Engineer located in Franklin, MA. The role focuses on power distribution solutions for large-scale construction projects, building customer and channel relationships, executing sales plans, and delivering technical solutions.

• Build relationships with key customers and channel partners to enhance long‑term business prospects.
• Execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements.
• Review and interpret customer needs, plans, and specifications.
• Prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines while exercising sound business judgment.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product lines, operations, and other internal stakeholders to provide customer‑centric solutions.
• Stay aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities, communicating such information to product divisions.
• Assist teammates in training on Eaton products and electronic tools.
• Collect, analyze, and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences, and buying habits to drive data‑based decisions.
• Provide accurate and timely planning and specification interpretation, quotation, and technical support.
• Plan promotional events and presentations with distributor personnel to promote Eaton’s position, while achieving assigned sales goals.

• General knowledge of Eaton electrical product and service capabilities.
• Ability to build trust and relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to anticipate and proactively meet customer needs.
• Ability to leverage internal stakeholders to meet customer and organizational needs.
• Ability to learn and utilize digital tools and proprietary software.
• Strong technical problem‑solving, communication, customer service, time management, presentation, planning, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of sales processes.

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years of electrical industry experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• No relocation assistance will be provided; candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Franklin, MA (Active‑Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt).

The compensation range for this full‑time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. The target total compensation range is $141,700 – $209,300. Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
