Full‑Time Security Officer – Franklin, MA
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Hours:
40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $18.60 / hour
- Access control and front desk duties: monitor employee, visitor, contractor, and vendor access; verify credentials and maintain logs.
- Patrols and site monitoring: conduct routine foot patrols of assigned areas.
- Visitor and employee assistance: provide directions and answer basic questions while maintaining security procedures.
- Camera and alarm monitoring: monitor CCTV, alarms, and respond to alerts per site procedures.
- Incident response: respond to alarms, emergencies, safety concerns, and communicate with site personnel and emergency responders.
- Reporting and documentation: maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, and access records; attention to detail and basic computer skills required.
- Post orders and safety procedures: follow all site‑specific post orders, emergency procedures, safety policies, and client expectations.
- Professional presence: represent Securitas and the client with professionalism, courtesy, and confidence.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Consistent with Monday–Friday daytime schedule.
- Can stay alert throughout the full shift.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Can follow written and verbal instructions.
- Communicates clearly and professionally.
- Comfortable interacting with employees, visitors, vendors, contractors.
- Can remain calm during emergencies or unexpected situations.
- Can complete accurate logs and reports.
- Has basic computer skills.
- Comfortable walking, standing, patrolling as needed.
- Takes pride in maintaining a safe and professional environment.
- Previous security experience is preferred but not required.
- Previous customer service, reception, hospitality, military, law enforcement, corrections, retail, office support, or related experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, observation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to provide professional and helpful customer service.
- Ability to follow detailed post orders and site procedures.
- Ability to complete accurate reports and daily activity logs.
- Basic computer proficiency is preferred.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond professionally during emergencies or unusual situations.
- Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and respond to incidents throughout the shift.
- Must be professional, reliable, and able to meet site expectations.
