Scope of PositionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Material Handler I to ensure the accurate and timely shipment of all customer and agent orders. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying, packing, and loading outbound shipments, including LTL and full truckloads, while maintaining accuracy and product integrity.
- Verify and pack all outbound LTL and truck load shipments for correct quantities and items.
- Ensure the optimum loading of all outbound trailers for accuracy, integrity, load sequence, and maximized "cube" shipments.
- Verify for proper loading to ensure safe transit of material to customers.
- Help control flow of people, equipment, and product on dock as it pertains to completion of orders, receipt of incoming, and transfers within inter-plant.
- Must be able to operate digital scales.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ year(s) of related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
