Job Summary
This lean‑thinking individual, as part of the Operations Team, will be responsible for oversight of 3rd shift operations, ensuring production goals align with customer requirements and company objectives. This position leads the team in fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while driving operational efficiency and associate engagement. The role supervises an average of 30 hourly employees, reports to the Operations Manager, is onsite, and is based in Franklin, NH.
PrimaryJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and delivery standards, as well as budget and cost control measures.
- Manage 3rd shift production and material handling to meet delivery schedules while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Lead daily Gemba walks and KPI board reviews to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Review production and operating reports, addressing and resolving operational and maintenance challenges.
- Improve resource use by organizing and directing workflow to meet production plans.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and root‑cause problem‑solving to analyze and improve processes using voice‑of‑customer (VOC) feedback.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and peers to resolve major process and quality issues.
- Contribute to facility planning, plant layout, and other assigned projects.
- Provide feedback on important projects such as AOP development, capital planning, and manufacturing process improvements.
- Drive a culture of safety by enforcing compliance with safety rules, ensuring PPE usage, and reporting any job‑related injuries or illnesses immediately.
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Company management.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. In lieu of a degree, 2+ years of experience or equivalent education and work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and their application.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operating systems.
- Advanced level decision‑making experience.
- Supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate and engage team members.
- Commitment to safety, punctuality, and adherence to company attendance standards.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre‑employment testing as a condition of employment.
Travel Requirements: less than 25%.
Working ConditionsWhile performing the job duties, you will be working on‑site in a manufacturing facility at the company’s Franklin location in Franklin, NH. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

stand for long periods; lift and carry up to 25 pounds; push and pull up to 25 pounds; move around a manufacturing floor; wear personal protective equipment, which may include safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
