About the Position
RN Unit Manager / Utilization Management Franklin NH
Role overview An RN is needed for a full time day shift RN UM (Unit Manager / Utilization focused) contract at a skilled nursing and rehab facility in Franklin, NH. This 14 week role is Monday Friday days, but hours are not guaranteed in pure UM; the nurse may be required to work the floor during the week and occasionally cover a weekend per facility need.

Contract dates: 03/03/26 06/02/26 (14 weeks)
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, 30 minute unpaid meal break
Days: 40 hour guarantee; weekday days, with possible occasional weekend floor coverage (per order note)
Class: RN UM (Unit Manager / UM RN)
Gross Belended Pay : $52-$65 per hour
Core responsibilities UM / unit management focus Oversee clinical operations for an assigned nursing unit, coordinating and managing resident care delivery.
Collaborate with physicians, rehab (PT/OT/SLP), social work, and nursing staff to drive appropriate length of stay and safe, timely discharges.
Participate in or lead utilization focused activities (reviewing clinical status vs. skilled criteria, authorizations, continued stay justification) in coordination with leadership and corporate UM.
Monitor quality indicators (falls, pressure injuries, rehospitalizations) and implement corrective actions on the unit.
Floor RN duties (as needed) Provide direct patient care including comprehensive assessments, care planning, and evaluation of resident outcomes.
Transcribe and implement provider orders and treatments accurately and promptly.
Supervise LPNs and LNAs/CNAs, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to care plans and infection control policies.
Document all assessments, interventions, and responses in the EMR, meeting facility and regulatory standards.
Required qualifications and skills Active New Hampshire RN license (or compact eligibility).
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
Prior SNF/rehab RN experience with charge or unit manager responsibilities strongly preferred.
Strong care coordination, communication, and leadership skills; comfortable flexing between UM/unit manager tasks and floor work, including occasional weekend coverage.
