RN, ED Rotating

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for population-specific inpatient patients, from simple to complex cases with multisystem issues
• Provide direct patient care in a safe and therapeutic environment
• Apply purposeful, organized thinking to make clinical judgments and decisions
• Gather patient histories and perform physical assessments; interpret data to plan and implement interventions
• Develop, evaluate, and revise patient care plans and nursing actions
• Document care and patient progress toward desired outcomes
• Direct and supervise delegated nursing activities
• Teach patients and significant others about the care plan and prepare them for discharge, transfer, or procedures/tests
• Manage time and resources to deliver patient care
• Administer medications
• Collaborate with patients, families, significant others, and healthcare workers
• Report to the Director and/or Nurse Manager
• May supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants and unlicensed personnel

• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
• Registered Nurse
  - New Hampshire Board of Nursing
• Basic Life Support
  - American Heart Association
• Refer to the department-specific mandatory certification, competency, education/training nursing policy
• One year prior clinical nursing experience
• Evidence of working effectively and positively with patients, care providers, and the multidisciplinary team
• Evidence of ability to perform as a member of a team
• Ability to meet the stated physical demands and work-environment requirements, including medium material handling and exposure to pathogens, bodily fluids, and hazardous substances

Demonstrates expertise in patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions while ensuring a safe therapeutic environment. Proficient in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supervising nursing activities to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
