Summary- Drive quality projects and implement improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Act as the primary liaison with customers, regulatory bodies, and government agencies for audits and quality issues.
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Manual, internal work instructions, and procedures; audit and approve subcontractors.
- Review job status, customer specifications, and recommend technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Production Control, Engineering, and customers on alloy, casting design, and tooling topics.
- Manage staff responsible for quality planning, raw material release, and final product certification.
- Oversee Level III NDT Examiner for personnel qualification, special process certifications, and audits.
- Serve as Management Representative for ISO‑9001 & AS9100 compliance.
- Stay current with industry advancements through technical literature review.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance oversight to quality teams while maintaining discipline and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with all safety requirements and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Participate in training, health evaluations, and safety programs.
- Wear required PPE in designated areas and report any work‑related injuries immediately.
- Perform physical functions of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work overtime as needed and meet attendance standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in technical or operations roles, ideally in casting and aerospace manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical resources and interact with customers, engineering, and operations on complex issues.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, twist, turn, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, kneel, stoop, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
