EHS Coordinator – MMG Engineered Extrusions
Location:
Franklin, NH
Reports To:
VP of Ops.
Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually
Position Summary:
The EHS Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and daily management of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs for our aluminum extrusion facility. This role helps ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and supports a strong safety culture through training, audits, and proactive risk-reduction activities.
- Support the implementation and coordination of all plant EHS programs and policies.
- Conduct daily safety walks, inspections, and audits within all production and support areas.
- Assist with Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), behavior-based safety processes, and risk elimination activities.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
- Maintain EHS documentation, training records, and compliance files.
- Assist with OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory compliance tasks.
- Coordinate environmental programs such as waste management, stormwater, air emissions, and recycling.
- Deliver or assist with employee safety training for all shifts.
- Support the plant Safety Committee and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track and report safety metrics, near misses, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Assist with emergency response plans, drills, and preparedness activities.
- Conduct PPE assessments, ergonomic reviews, and hazard identification activities.
- Associate’s degree or technical training in Safety, Environmental Science, Manufacturing, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred but not required).
- 1–3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment; metals or extrusion experience a plus.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
- Proactive and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
- Safety-related certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Associate Safety Professional, OSHA 10, Certified Industrial Hygienist) are a plus.
This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variation, and industrial conditions may occur when accessing plant areas.
Physical Demands- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to access production areas when necessary.
