License/Certification: Valid Ohio pupil activity permit (may be obtained after hire).

Middletown Christian Schools is looking for a Varsity Girls' volleyball head coach who embraces our vision, mission, and core values. A person who seeks this position should be one who is convinced that God has called him/her to the ministry of coaching in a Christian school.

• Publicly profess a faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

• Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit as a byproduct of a growing faith.

• Should have complete knowledge of the sport.
• The ability to teach fundamentals, skills, rules, and regulations of the sport.
• Be able to organize, plan, and execute practice sessions.
• Demonstrates strong leadership in sportsmanship, integrity, and character development.
• Detail oriented.
• Have the desire and ability to establish rapport with student athletes and their families.
• Must be familiar with all safety regulations (i.e. Lindsay’s Law).

• Responsible for issuing, maintaining, and collecting equipment.
• Supervision of student athletes.

• Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
• Travels to games and practices:
  • Occasional operation of your own vehicle under inclement weather conditions.
  • Mainly to and from home to practice or games.
  • Majority of the time, school transportation will be provided for away games.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull various items athletic/sport/gym related materials or equipment. e.g., paper boxes, deliveries of supplies and equipment, ball carts, floor mats.

The position is contingent on having enough students signed up to play.
