As the Production Superintendent, you will lead all manufacturing operations within our ink production facility. Your focus will be on ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective production while upholding high quality standards and fostering a positive, high‑performance work environment. You will maintain process control integrity, meet OTIF delivery expectations, support customer needs, and achieve inventory targets.
This role is responsible for preparing operational reports, supporting quality assurance, maintaining strong labor relations, and handling essential administrative duties. You will play a critical role in meeting customer demand, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will coordinate product development efforts to support new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Safety – Champion a strong safety culture through training, accountability, and compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations. Leads adherence to safety and housekeeping standards through example, training, teamwork, and accountability.
- Productivity – Plan, coordinate, and control daily manufacturing activities to meet customer requirements efficiently and cost‑effectively. Identifies opportunities for Lean Six Sigma manufacturing techniques to improve processes and productivity.
- Process Improvement – Troubleshoot operational issues, recommend improvements, and prevent delays in production schedules.
- Cost Management – Monitor overtime, manage spending, and ensure operations stay within budget.
- Leadership – Lead, coach, and develop employees; address performance issues; and foster a fair, productive, and positive work environment.
- Customer Value – Investigate operational causes of customer complaints, determine root cause, implement remedy and monitor results.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Maintain strong communication with site departments and corporate partners to achieve goals and objectives.
- Talent Development – Hire, train, evaluate, and motivate staff to support production needs and long‑term growth.
- Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (batch manufacturing preferred).
- Proven ability to set priorities, solve problems, meet deadlines, and manage budgets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Lean Six Sigma preferred.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
