We are hiring an Accounting Intern for Lennar’s Accounting Intern Program. This is a 10‑week paid internship beginning in June for rising college seniors, where participants apply classroom knowledge to real‑world projects and challenges. The program develops essential interpersonal and technical skills, and positions interns for future career success and leadership opportunities. Associates will work alongside seasoned professionals, contributing to impactful projects while becoming immersed in Lennar’s culture through onboarding, training, and team‑building activities.

All positions within the Future Builders Program are temporary and do not guarantee future employment. Upon completion, the company will decide whether to offer high‑performing interns a regular full‑time position based on job performance and business needs.

• Prepare financial statements, journal entries, management reporting, and reconciliations for month‑end and quarterly‑end closing activities.
• Ensure the adequacy and compliance of internal control systems.
• Examine records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to assess the accuracy of our systems.
• Understand the organization’s needs and expectations, draft memos, compute estimated payments, and perform tax provisional work to control business risks.

• Current junior working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree, graduating within 2 years (preferred).
• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and valid auto insurance coverage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

This is primarily a sedentary office position that requires the ability to work over eight hours per day in an office environment. The role also requires the ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move items less than 50 pounds, finger dexterity for a computer keyboard and calculator, and occasional standing for filing and copying.
