Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations while partnering closely with senior leadership. This individual will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, improving processes, managing the monthly close, and helping position the accounting department for future growth.

• Lead the daily accounting operations for the organization
• Manage the monthly financial close process and improve close timelines
• Review and prepare accurate financial statements
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
• Ensure financial transactions are properly coded and recorded across multiple systems
• Oversee banking activity and reconciliations for multiple related entities
• Maintain internal controls and accounting best practices
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
• Partner closely with executive leadership on financial reporting and special projects
• Support annual audits and other financial reporting requirements
  
  Mentor and collaborate with existing accounting team members while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience leading month-end close processes
• Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
• Proficiency with accounting software (Quick Books experience is a plus)
• Experience working with multiple entities is preferred

• Public accounting and/or corporate accounting background
• Experience in professional services, consulting, or other service-based organizations
• Comfortable working in a growing entrepreneurial environment
