Position SummaryOur client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations while partnering closely with senior leadership. This individual will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, improving processes, managing the monthly close, and helping position the accounting department for future growth.

Responsibilities- Lead the daily accounting operations for the organization
- Manage the monthly financial close process and improve close timelines
- Review and prepare accurate financial statements
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
- Ensure financial transactions are properly coded and recorded across multiple systems
- Oversee banking activity and reconciliations for multiple related entities
- Maintain internal controls and accounting best practices
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
- Partner closely with executive leadership on financial reporting and special projects
- Support annual audits and other financial reporting requirements
Mentor and collaborate with existing accounting team members while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience leading month-end close processes
- Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Proficiency with accounting software (Quick Books experience is a plus)
- Experience working with multiple entities is preferred
- Public accounting and/or corporate accounting background
- Experience in professional services, consulting, or other service-based organizations
- Comfortable working in a growing entrepreneurial environment
