Accounting Manager

My client is hiring an Accounting Manager to take ownership of core accounting operations and build toward a Controller track.

What you'll own:

• Lead the monthly close process end to end, including reviewing and approving journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Take direct ownership of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, managing a team of three
• Partner cross functionally with Treasury, Tax, and Risk to keep financial reporting accurate and coordinated across the business
• Support the annual audit process, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
• Identify and drive process and system improvements, including future ERP enhancements
• Build out team performance standards and mentor staff toward stronger technical and professional development

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business field
• CPA strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3 years in management
• Solid GAAP fundamentals and hands on month end close experience
• Direct experience overseeing AR and/or AP functions preferred
• Comfort managing people and processes, not just reviewing output
