The Accounting Generalist provides essential support to the accounting and finance team by assisting with month-end processes, audits, reporting, and administrative tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
Essential Functions
- Assist with month-end financial processes and reporting.
- Support team with monthly reviews and audits.
- Review employee expense reports and credit card charges for accuracy.
- Maintain Accounts Receivable (AR) daily and ensure contract information accuracy.
- Request and maintain Certificates of Insurance.
- Prepare various financial reports as needed.
- Handle ADP reconciliations and deposit checks.
- Organize, schedule, and notify participants of finance meetings; take and distribute meeting minutes.
- Manage incoming mail and perform clerical tasks such as copying, filing, scanning, and shredding documents.
- Provide administrative support for letters, reports, presentations, and strategic plan manuals.
- Participate in miscellaneous projects or reports as required by management.
- Demonstrate commitment to supporting initiatives that improve processes and solve problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and email applications.
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct and/or ADP Workforce.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks accurately.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; professionalism and diplomacy in sensitive situations.
