The Williamson County Mayor’s Office is seeking a highly organized, technology-savvy Executive Coordinator who is excited about public service, thoughtful change, and using technology to help government work better.

This is more than a traditional administrative position. It is an opportunity to work at the center of one of Tennessee’s most dynamic counties and help shape how a modern county government serves its residents, elected officials, and employees.

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of that mission—someone who can manage the details of a busy executive office while also asking, “Is there a better way to do this?” The right person will help us improve meetings, records, digital workflows, communication, and administrative processes in ways that are practical, thoughtful, and sustainable.

What You’ll Do

Coordinate County Commission and committee meetings, including agendas, notices, materials, minutes, official records, technology, and follow-up.

Provide administrative and operational support to the County Mayor, Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor.

Work directly with the Finance & Budget Director, particularly during budget season, coordinating meetings, materials, information, and deadlines.

Help modernize Mayor’s Office, County Commission, and budget processes through improved digital tools, workflows, and automation.

Use and support Microsoft 365, meeting technology, electronic records, websites, digital forms, collaboration tools, and other evolving technologies.

Maintain accurate official records and public-facing information.

Coordinate special projects and work with County departments, elected officials, outside organizations, and the public.

What We’re Looking For

You are exceptionally organized, professional, detail-oriented, and highly comfortable with technology. You learn new systems quickly, enjoy solving problems, and are energized by finding thoughtful ways to improve how work gets done.

You also understand that meaningful change in government requires good judgment, collaboration, patience, and respect for law, and the people and processes already in place.

High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Three or more years of relevant experience in executive or administrative support, government operations, meeting administration, finance/budget administration, project coordination, technology support,…
