Estimator – Structural Steel Division

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all preconstruction efforts
• Obtain scope and schedule information from general contractors
• Coordinate with estimators and project teams
• Contact subcontractors and vendors for pricing
• Review data and drawings to determine material and labor requirements
• Prepare itemized cost estimates
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for planning, scheduling, bids, change-order pricing, vendor or subcontractor agreements, and cost-effectiveness evaluations
• Build and review final estimates
• Create bid forms and scope letters for final submittals
• Consult with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and other individuals to formulate estimates
• Maintain bid lists and subcontractor contact information
• Pursue new opportunities for the organization
• Facilitate projects being awarded through preconstruction coordination
• Maintain project pursuit progress status

• High School diploma
• At least 2 years of estimating experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create accurate and punctual reports
• Good listening skills
• Ability to balance and prioritize workload across several projects
• Ability to identify innovative and creative cost-reduction methods
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
• Ability to break down problems, identify underlying issues, and process complex issues
• Energetic, self-motivated, collaborative team-oriented approach
• Must be eligible to work without visa sponsorship; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
• Willingness to work overtime and travel as required
