- Perform technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout
- Make and check engineering computations
- Inspect construction work
- Conduct field tests
- Assist with geotechnical field exploration activities
- Assist the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties under the general supervision of the Project Administrator
- Be directly responsible for inspection requirements related to assigned construction operations
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of construction inspection experience
- TDOT Experience preferred
- Site Manager or AASHTOWare experience preferred
- Possess the following certifications or the ability to obtain within six (6) months from the date of hire: TDEC Level 1 EPSC; TDOT HMA Certified Roadway Inspector; TDOT Asphalt Plant Technician; TDOT Concrete Field Technician or ACI Grade 1 Concrete Technician; TDOT Radiation Safety and Nuclear Gauge; TDOT Soils and Aggregates;
Work Zone Traffic Control/Flagging; TDOT Intermediate MOT; 10 Hour OSHA Safety Training - This position is not eligible for sponsorship
Demonstrates expertise in construction inspection and field surveying, with a strong ability to perform engineering computations and conduct field tests. Proficient in communication and collaboration within construction teams, ensuring compliance with safety and inspection standards.
