Design and Visualization Technician – Franklin, Tennessee

Garver's Aviation team in Franklin, Tennessee seeks a Design and Visualization Technician to join our growing group of experienced engineers, designers, and technical writers.

We develop new and innovative solutions for airport projects, including runways, taxiways, terminal construction, hangars, and more. The role involves creating conceptual design models and layouts, as well as conceptual exhibits and graphic deliverables to communicate complex design solutions in unique ways.

Familiarity with Autodesk platforms such as Civil 3D and Infraworks, along with knowledge of GIS software, is a plus. The successful candidate should understand basic system administration techniques to move data and files between applications and network locations and be committed to becoming a key member of a highly creative design team. Knowledge of civil engineering and aviation planning and design terminology, methods, practices and techniques—particularly site grading modeling and airspace modeling—is preferred.

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High technological acumen

• Certificate in Drafting with experience with AutoCAD
• Knowledge of the terminology, methods, practices and techniques of airport design and planning and civil engineering, and ability to assist in other areas of our business as needed
• Skilled training (formal or on‑job) in Autodesk Civil 3D software packages, specifically in site grading applications
• Skilled training (formal or on‑job) in ArcGIS software
