Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll teach students of varying ages and skill levels, create engaging lesson plans, and prepare students for recitals, school performances, and auditions. You'll collaborate with store staff to support instrument rentals, purchases, and accessories that enhance learning. The ideal candidate is a skilled musician and educator who communicates well with parents, embraces a student focused culture, and is committed to fostering a love of music and continuous musical growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop and follow structured lesson plans aligned with student goals
• Prepare students for recitals, school performances, and auditions
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
• Collaborate with store staff to support instrument rentals, sales, and accessories
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
• Recommend appropriate instruments, books, and materials to support learning
• Document attendance, progress, and lesson notes accurately
• Participate in store events and student performance opportunities
