Schedule :
Monday - Friday 8AM-4PM with a 30 minute break
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to guide our energetic classroom of two and three-year-olds in Franklin, TN. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters cognitive, social, and emotional growth during these critical formative years. You will design engaging lesson plans, manage classroom dynamics, and build strong partnerships with families to support each child's unique development.
What You'll DoKey Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a play-based curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of children ages 2-3.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets state licensing standards.
- Assess and document individual student progress, sharing regular updates and milestone achievements with parents.
- Lead and mentor assistant teachers to ensure cohesive classroom management and a supportive team dynamic.
- Guide children through potty training, social interactions, and emotional regulation with patience and positive reinforcement.
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and school leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent;
Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. - At least 2 years of experience working as a lead or assistant teacher in a licensed childcare facility.
- Deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and cognitive milestones of toddlers and young children.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting as required by the state of Tennessee.
- Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them prior to start date.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field.
- Previous experience teaching specifically within the state of Tennessee childcare licensing framework.
- Proficiency with childcare management and communication apps (such as Brightwheel).
- Additional certifications in specialized early childhood methodologies (e.g., Montessori, Reggio Emilia).
- Salary: $20/hour. Fixed salary ($40,000 - $48,000 annually) position after 6 months of employment
