This position reports to the Head of Engineering or their designee and is located outside of Nashville, TN. Collaborates with mechanical, IT, and production teams to design and implement electrical systems that meet safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for mobile medical clinics, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct load calculations to ensure electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, electricians, and production teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes, including NEC and IEC standards.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and progress updates to management.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical systems and recommend new technologies when applicable.
  • Follow all safety regulations and best practices for electrical engineering tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of Engineering or their designee.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required;
    Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in mobile or industrial settings.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in using CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, Solid Works Electrical) for schematics and layouts.
  • Knowledge of power distribution, control systems, and renewable energy solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • A can-do, positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.

Equipment and Applications:

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Solid Works Electrical, Revit, and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and SCADA systems is a plus.

Work Environment Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment while maintaining a methodical approach.
  • Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the production floor for inspections and testing.
  • Compliance with Odulair's Health and Safety Policy and all relevant safety regulations is mandatory.
