We’re seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor to help lead and grow a land surveying and geospatial services practice utilizing modern technologies and innovative delivery methods. This role is ideal for a licensed surveyor who wants both technical responsibility and leadership influence within a growing, multidisciplinary environment.
You’ll manage a wide range of surveying and geospatial projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams. From boundary and ALTA/NSPS surveys to construction layout, subdivision platting, reality capture, and GIS services, this role offers variety, ownership, and the opportunity to shape how work is delivered.

What You’ll Be Doing- Manage land surveying and geospatial projects from pursuit through delivery
- Lead and coordinate field crews, providing instruction and oversight on assigned projects
- Partner with office staff to support data processing, drafting, and deliverable production
- Prepare and review boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic surveys, and subdivision plats
- Support construction layout and as-built survey services
- Utilize and implement modern surveying technologies, tools, and geospatial solutions
- Conduct site visits and fieldwork oversight as required
- Serve as primary client point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare client deliverables including legal descriptions, boundary resolutions, and exhibits
- Develop cost estimates and scope support for project proposals
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships locally and regionally
- Guide, mentor, and direct the work of technical and field staff
- Identify opportunities to grow surveying and geospatial service offerings
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Illinois, Missouri, or Tennessee
- 5+ years of experience performing and managing land survey projects
- Strong background in boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and construction surveying
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience coordinating and leading survey field crews
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in service growth and team development
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Working knowledge of modern surveying technologies and workflows
- Civil 3D experience strongly preferred
- Experience with local or county procedures (including sewage disposal processes) is a plus
