Structural Project Manager to help lead the design and delivery of complex bridge and structural projects.

Location

This position offers a hybrid work schedule and can be based out of either our Franklin or Nashville, Tennessee office.

What You’ll Do
  • As a Structural Project Manager, you’ll help lead the design and delivery of bridge and structural projects while working closely with clients and a talented team of engineers and designers.
  • Lead structural design projects from concept through final delivery, including bridge and retaining wall structures.
  • Prepare and review structural and geometric calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and complete design packages.
  • Lead and mentor structural designers and engineers, providing technical direction and supporting their professional development.
  • Coordinate project plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items in accordance with TDOT standards and requirements.
  • Work directly with clients to develop scopes of work, fee proposals, and project strategies.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, and quality while ensuring work meets client and regulatory requirements.
  • Take ownership of assigned design calculations and plans and ensure appropriate independent quality control reviews are completed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex design challenges and deliver practical, high-quality solutions.
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced structural engineer who is ready to lead projects, develop people, and build strong client relationships.

You’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of bridge design experience, with 12+ years preferred.
  • A B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • PE License in Tennessee, or the ability to obtain Tennessee licensure through reciprocity.
  • Experience working with TDOT and/or local municipalities.
  • Strong technical expertise in bridge design, structural analysis, and the development of complete design packages.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing structural calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and other project deliverables.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience developing scopes of work, fee proposals, and contracts.
  • Proficiency with Bentley CAD and structural design software.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • A desire to take on increasing responsibility and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Tennessee team.
