Performing Arts Center Theater Sound Technician (Part-Time)

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is seeking a skilled and dependable Part‑Time Theater Sound Technician to support the technical operations of the Williamson County Performing Arts Center. This position works closely with the Technical Director to ensure high-quality audio production for a variety of live events and performances.

• Assist with the setup and execution of stage plots and show files for performances
• Operate audio systems, including front‑of‑house and monitor mixing
• Support stage setup, wiring, and general technical operations
• Collaborate with production staff and performers to ensure smooth event execution
• Perform additional technical duties as assigned

• Demonstrated experience with digital audio consoles
• Proficiency in front‑of‑house and monitor mixing
• Experience with stage setup and audio wiring
• Working knowledge of Figure 53 QLab software
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment and working on ladders or lifts
• Basic computer proficiency and customer service skills

• Experience with Allen & Heath SQ series consoles
• Familiarity with Waves Sound Grid servers
• Working knowledge of DMX and stage lighting systems

• Part‑time, up to 28 hours per week
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends

• Successful completion of a background check is required.
• Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong interest in live event production, including concerts, musical theatre, drama, fine arts, and outdoor festivals.
