Position:
Senior Tax Accountant
Our client is seeking a Tax Senior Accountant to serve as a key advisor on tax matters within the Tax Department. This role requires a strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidated tax return regulations, and multi‑state tax law.
DescriptionIncome Tax Compliance
- Prepares U.S. federal and state income tax returns using Corptax
- Prepares international tax filings, including Forms 5471 and 8975, in Corptax
- Calculates and prepares quarterly state estimated tax payments and annual extension filings
- Prepares and reviews book‑to‑tax differences, including documentation of underlying accounting methods and positions
Audit Support
- Provides analysis and support for U.S. federal and state income tax audits
- Prepares, reviews, and coordinates responses to information requests from taxing authorities
- Partners with tax team members and cross‑functional department leads to support IRS and state examination requests
Tax Provision
- Assists with the monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provision close process
- Ensures appropriate application of accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 and other relevant accounting guidance
- Prepares blended state tax rate calculations and state NOL utilization forecasts for current and future periods
- Ensures compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley Section 404 requirements related to tax processes
Special Projects & Research
- Assists with exemption certificate collection and sales and use tax research determinations
- Supports special projects as assigned, including tax planning initiatives, process automation, accounting method changes, transfer pricing, and analysis of non‑routine transactions
- Performs tax research and technical analysis as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Three plus (3+) years of tax experience with a large public accounting firm and/or a major corporation desired, with minimum three (3) years of solid experience in income tax preparation and review
- Solid background in U.S. corporate tax compliance, GAAP, and other related U.S. accounting standards and principles
- Demonstrated advanced working knowledge of the consolidation and eliminations process including corporate tax forms, schedules and disclosures required with the ability to apply this expertise to the business environment
- Highly disciplined with the ability to work under strict deadlines
- Advanced experienced with Excel and income tax compliance software (Corptax a plus)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA license and/or MBT (Master in Business Taxation) degree preferred, but not required

Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
