Mortgage Loan Processor

Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing loans from set-up to closing by verifying, assembling, and entering borrower information into the system.
• Verify income and assets documentation are complete and compliant to established guidelines.
• Notate files to keep all necessary parties informed of loans current status.
• Request Third party steps as required.
• Order any necessary documentation as needed.
• Verify income docs, recalculate income to confirm figures are correct.
• Review appraisal against title for accuracy of property description.
• Review title. Work with the title officer to clear judgments/liens.
• Verify real estate taxes are paid to date. Update aggregate escrows for both taxes and insurance.
• Verify hazard insurance is paid in full and adequately covers the loan amount.
• Work with Post Closing department to resolve any funding issues.

• Two years of experience processing purchase mortgages.
• Very strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical skills, detail oriented.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to system updates.
