Senior Client Accountant/Account Manager
A growing professional services firm is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee high‑touch client engagements while guiding a small team. This role blends hands‑on client financial oversight with people leadership and operational input, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, relationship‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the lead advisor for a select group of clients, providing financial oversight and ongoing guidance tailored to complex and evolving needs.
- Direct and review financial workflows including cash management, disbursements, account reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverables.
- Serve as the main point of contact for escalated client matters, ensuring prompt resolution and a high standard of service.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of accounting professionals, including performance feedback and career development support.
- Monitor financial accuracy and ensure records align with established policies, timelines, and client expectations.
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate financial trends, identify risks, and recommend proactive solutions.
- Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on deliverables and priorities.
- Contribute to improving internal systems, workflows, and reporting processes to support scalability and efficiency.
- Assist in planning and executing special financial projects, including budgeting initiatives and customized reporting requests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or client‑facing financial management experience.
- Prior experience overseeing client portfolios or multi‑entity financial structures strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor junior staff.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly.
- High level of organization with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
