Description

The Supply Chain Finance Analyst supports accounting and financial reporting tied to the company’s manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role assists with month-end close, work order variance analysis, accruals, and financial analysis that supports production and supply chain decision‑making. The analyst works closely with plant operations, supply chain, and corporate finance, learning the end‑to‑end manufacturing accounting cycle under the direction of senior team members.

Reports to the Senior Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities Month-End Close
  • Assist with month-end close activities for supply chain and manufacturing, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and close checklist tasks
  • Prepare accrual schedules (freight, utilities, temp labor, R & M, inbound/outbound logistics, etc.) with supporting documentation for review
  • Reconcile assigned inventory, WIP, and finished goods accounts; flag discrepancies for resolution
  • Pull data and prepare variance commentary on manufacturing and supply chain P & L lines against budget, forecast, and prior period
Work Order and Manufacturing Variances
  • Pull and analyze work order variance data daily and at close — material usage, labor, overhead absorption, and yield
  • Flag abnormal variances and prepare supporting detail for review
  • Coordinate with production, planning, and procurement to gather context on recurring variances
  • Help maintain standard cost data in Net Suite and support periodic standard cost rolls
Financial Analysis
  • Build recurring reports on cost per case, COM, scrap and waste, freight, and other supply chain KPIs
  • Provide data and analysis to support the annual budget and periodic forecasts
  • Complete ad‑hoc analyses for cost‑savings initiatives, capital projects, sourcing changes, and process improvements
  • Respond to data requests from plant and supply chain leadership
Controls and Audit
  • Follow internal controls over manufacturing and supply chain accounting processes
  • Pull supporting documentation for internal and external audit requests
  • Suggest improvements to close and reporting processes
Requirements Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience; manufacturing
  • Exposure to standard costing and variance analysis a plus
  • Familiarity with fixed asset accounting concepts
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Net Suite or another ERP preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable on the plant floor — willing to walk the lines and ask questions
  • Solid communication skills; able to work cross‑functionally with operators and finance peers
