Loan Officer Associate

Job Overview

We are Lennar, one of the nation's leading homebuilders. The Loan Officer Associate role supports Loan Officers while developing the skills and knowledge necessary to become a full Loan Officer. The position pays $19–21/hr.

• Participate in formal training programs covering mortgage types, creditworthiness assessment, and the loan approval process.
• Train on mortgage rate sheets to accurately price and lock loans.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to understand the overall mortgage process from application to closing.
• Update loan applications with missing data and maintain notes within the Loan Origination System.
• Assist with initial file setup.
• Participate in builder and realtor functions to build and maintain relationships.
• Work with the Division Manager and Loan Officers on local marketing campaigns.
• Serve as the primary contact for borrowers, schedule and conduct meetings, and address follow‑up issues.
• Assist processors and closers in obtaining loan documents and other required information.
• Engage internal associates through phone, email, and chat; respond promptly.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; BA or BS preferred.
• Mortgage or banking experience preferred.
• Ability to articulate product or service features, benefits, and value.
• Strong customer‑centric mindset and passion for exceeding expectations.
• Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Successfully complete testing for mortgage licensing and appropriate state licensing as needed.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education courses.
