Job Overview
We are Lennar, one of the nation's leading homebuilders. The Loan Officer Associate role supports Loan Officers while developing the skills and knowledge necessary to become a full Loan Officer. The position pays $19–21/hr.
Responsibilities- Participate in formal training programs covering mortgage types, creditworthiness assessment, and the loan approval process.
- Train on mortgage rate sheets to accurately price and lock loans.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to understand the overall mortgage process from application to closing.
- Update loan applications with missing data and maintain notes within the Loan Origination System.
- Assist with initial file setup.
- Participate in builder and realtor functions to build and maintain relationships.
- Work with the Division Manager and Loan Officers on local marketing campaigns.
- Serve as the primary contact for borrowers, schedule and conduct meetings, and address follow‑up issues.
- Assist processors and closers in obtaining loan documents and other required information.
- Engage internal associates through phone, email, and chat; respond promptly.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; BA or BS preferred.
- Mortgage or banking experience preferred.
- Ability to articulate product or service features, benefits, and value.
- Strong customer‑centric mindset and passion for exceeding expectations.
- Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Successfully complete testing for mortgage licensing and appropriate state licensing as needed.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education courses.
