Job SummaryThe Investment Strategist serves as a product and investment expert across the firm, supporting advisor teams. This role collaborates closely with partners such as the Dynasty Investment Team and Sage Spring Advisor Success to promote understanding, and champion Sage Spring’s multi-sector investment platform, enabling consistent investment messaging and expanding our market presence with a focus on multi-sector, alternatives, and private market investments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Serve as a primary internal investment resource for advisors, providing day-to-day support on model portfolios, portfolio construction, implementation, and client positioning.
- Help advisors confidently implement firm-approved investment solutions aligned with Sage Spring’s planning-first approach.
- Support investment education initiatives, including training, office hours, and development of advisor-facing materials.
- Assist advisors—particularly those working with high-net-worth clients—in client conversations, proposals, and portfolio reviews.
- Translate complex investment philosophies, model updates, and market commentary into clear, actionable guidance for advisors.
- Track recurring advisor questions and develop scalable resources such as FAQs, playbooks, and one-pagers to improve advisor experience and outcomes.
- Serve as a spokesperson and subject matter expert for Sage Spring’s multi-sector, alternatives, and private market investment strategies.
- Partner with portfolio managers and the Dynasty Investment Team to develop compelling presentations, market commentaries, and client-facing materials.
- Assist with organizing materials, communications, and training around time-sensitive investment opportunities for qualified purchaser clients and prospects.
- Support internal coordination to ensure advisors understand where and how alternative and private market solutions fit within client portfolios.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Investment Management, and Distribution teams to create and maintain a consistent suite of product marketing and service materials.
- Support advisor growth initiatives by generating thought leadership content, updating sales collateral, and participating in regional training programs.
- Assist with RFP language, advisor responses, and client communications to support new business opportunities.
- Track and report on relevant business metrics such as pipeline activity and sales performance.
- Monitor global markets, economic trends, and policy developments to provide timely investment insights and market commentary.
- Identify areas for process improvement, additional education, or enhanced communication to better support advisors and clients.
- Maintain competitive intelligence and industry insights to inform strategy and product development.
- 5+ years of experience in wealth management, investment consulting, portfolio analysis, OCIO support, or related roles.
- Deep knowledge of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment vehicles including ETFs, mutual funds, SMAs, and model portfolios.
- Strong expertise in alternative and private market investments (private equity, private credit, hedge funds, structured solutions) and their operational workflows.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, actionable guidance for advisors and clients.
- Proven ability to build trust‑based relationships and collaborate effectively with internal partners and external advisors.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members is highly desirable.
- Professional designations such as CFA, CIMA, CAIA, or CFP preferred or in progress.
- Exposure to tax‑efficient investing concepts, including tax‑aware portfolio construction and asset location, is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
