Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Alternative Investment Analyst based in the Franklin, TN office. The position reports to the Alternative Investment Portfolio Manager and involves assisting with the management of alternative investments for the Family Office and related 501(c)(3) entities. The analyst supports the portfolio manager through all stages of the investment lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, and managing commitments in private equity, private real estate, private credit, venture capital, and hedge fund investments.
Responsibilities- Assist in managing a portfolio of private investments, including monitoring manager performance and risk, fostering relationships with investment partners, and conducting periodic updates to initial due diligence.
- Conduct periodic on‑site visits with key investment and operations personnel.
- Evaluate potential new investment managers using quantitative and qualitative skills.
- Investigate a manager’s background and prior track record to support future investment gains.
- Continually update internal databases of performance, investment holdings, market exposures, and interactions with managers.
- Integrate data supplied by investment managers to provide detailed reporting to the portfolio manager and investment director.
- Review investment sub‑strategies to evaluate market opportunity and potential changes in portfolio allocation or manager roster.
- Prepare investment memoranda and other reports to facilitate communication with the investment committee, leadership teams, and external entities.
- Perform additional related job duties as required.

- Office location:
Franklin, TN. - Office hours:
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm. - Travel:

- Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis on finance, economics, or accounting is preferred.
- Professional designations such as CFA, CAIA, MBA, CPA, or JD are recommended.
- 3–6 years of experience in investment management, alternative assets group of an insurance company, pension, endowment, foundation, or family office.
- 3–6 years of investment banking or related finance experience.
- Knowledge of capital markets, investments, and private market investing is preferred.
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, listening, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to provide recommendations based on rigorous analysis.
- Strong ethical standards and professionalism with sensitive information.
- Customer‑service orientation and the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team.
- Capacity to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
