Position:
Primary Relationship Manager – Mass Affluent Client Portfolio, Truist Financial Corporation
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass affluent clients, delivering a broad range of fee income and retail banking products and services.
- Establish and periodically update an understanding of client financial needs through sound profiling and personal financial planning analysis, proactively managing investment accounts for adherence to objectives and policies.
- Keep abreast of economic, legal, and market trends impacting mass affluent clients and serve as a personal financial planning/advisory resource for clients, attorneys, and CPAs.
- Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals by developing new clients, expanding services, and marketing new products, while supporting the Truist sales management process, automation, and referral guidelines.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with Truist teammates and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partners to ensure an integrated and seamless approach to client service.
- Build and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with external centers of influence to enhance business development.
- Work within audit, compliance, and regulatory frameworks to ensure a high‑quality, compliant portfolio of client relationships.
- Participate in the implementation and development of the Premier Banking program, including processes, products, and operating policies.
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, banking or equivalent financial services experience and related training.
- Minimum of five years of financial services experience working with clients in banking, investments, and/or retail lending (or one year in a financial client relationship manager role).
- Advanced knowledge of a broad range of personal financial planning/advisory/insurance and investment management/asset allocation concepts and understanding of retail credit and traditional retail bank products for the mass affluent market.
- Active or obtain within 100‑150 days the following licenses:
Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series7 &66 (or 63 &65 in lieu of 66), applicable insurance licenses (Life, Health, Variable), SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliance, and an NMLS acceptable background check. Transfer FINRA licenses within 60 days of job entry. - Strong interpersonal, sales, and relationship‑management skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
- Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or banking.
- Mass Affluent Banking experience.
- Completion or enrollment in professional‑level certification programs such as CFP, CFA, AAMS®, CTFA®, CLU®, CRPC®, or ChFC®.
- Completion of a Leadership Development Program or Banking School (e.g., Truist Leadership Development Program).
All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits.
