Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to help lead and oversee critical functions for Amazon Logistics – our rapidly expanding internal delivery operation, purpose‑built to achieve and exceed the delivery quality and speed demands of Amazon customers.
A Finance Manager for Amazon Logistics will be the finance leader for disruptive new transportation initiatives, with a focus on business partnering, strategic decision support, financial controllership and cost reduction. Leading a team of analysts, this person will partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to this high‑growth organization. This role requires extensive cross‑functional partnership with various retail, transportation, and finance teams to identify best practices across the network and lead cost improvement efforts.
The manager will also lead long‑term strategic planning, annual planning, variance analysis for monthly/quarterly business reviews, and ad‑hoc projects and analysis as needed.
- Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with business partners – you influence decisions, root cause issues quickly, uncover core issues using data, and consult with the business to impact costs.
- Manage and develop exceptional talent, encouraging the team to challenge assumptions.
- Expertise in collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data, creating meaningful analyses to lead business improvement and cost reductions.
- Recommend, develop and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability.
- Create a “learn by doing” environment by engaging with on‑the‑floor associates and managers to promote and encourage continued customer focus.
- Partner with the team to develop all weekly and monthly financial close activities, planning, forecasting, and reporting models while overseeing continuous innovation and communication to operations and other business partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports / data sets that inform business decision‑making experience.
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, discovering the root cause and creating / implementing an escalation plan.
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis and recommendations that have proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL / ETL.
- Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
- USA, TN, Nashville – $85,900.00 – $ USD annually.
- USA, TX, Irving – $95,400.00 – $ USD annually.
- USA, WA, Bellevue – $95,400.00 – $ USD annually.
The base salary range for this position is listed above. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications and location.
