The Paraplanner is a full-time, on-site role based in Franklin, TN, supporting financial advisors in delivering comprehensive planning and investment guidance to clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and organizing client data, preparing financial plans and reports, and assisting with the analysis of retirement, tax, estate, insurance, and investment strategies. The Paraplanner will help develop and maintain planning models, prepare meeting materials and follow-up summaries, and ensure accurate documentation in client files and systems.
This role collaborates closely with advisors to identify planning opportunities, monitor action items, and maintain a high standard of client service and confidentiality. The position may also involve participating in client meetings, helping explain planning concepts, and contributing to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools. This role also includes handling compliance issues that may arise within the practice. The position will also handle all trades for clients, managing the logistics and upkeep of our portfolio management.
- Candidates should possess strong Financial Planning and Finance skills to support holistic client plans and analysis.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Report Writing abilities to interpret data, prepare clear summaries, and present recommendations.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Investments and related concepts to assist with portfolio reviews and implementation.
- Candidates should possess certain character traits such as self-motivated, can work independently, have high integrity and be a team player.
- Candidates should possess high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with financial planning software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Candidates should possess a Series 7, 65 & 66 license and have experience in the financial services business for at least 5 years and have experience with Fidelity and/or Raymond James custodial platforms.
- Candidates should possess a client-focused mindset, commitment to ethical standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative advisory team.
