Overview:

Join our team as a Dispatcher where you will play a crucial role in coordinating and facilitating efficient communication between various parties. As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for dispatching and coordinating emergency response activities. This position requires a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Preference will be given to those with experience in Emergency Communications.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently dispatch emergency services to designated locations.
• Utilize GIS and GPS systems to determine the most effective routes for emergency responders.
• Perform phone triage to assess the nature of emergency calls and prioritize responses accordingly.
• Analyze incoming information and data to make informed decisions on resource allocation.
• Communicate effectively with emergency personnel, providing them with necessary information and updates.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless coordination during emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities.
• Provide support in procedures when necessary.

Skills:

• Proficiency in to accurately record information.
• Familiarity with GIS and GPS systems for efficient route planning.
• Experience in phone triage to handle emergency calls effectively.
• Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to relay critical information clearly and concisely.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus.

A High School Diploma or a GED is required.
