Nail Technician

The Spa at Leiper's Fork is a destination spa in the serene village of Leiper's Fork just outside of Franklin, Tennessee. The Nail Technician performs professional nail, hand and foot treatments. They must possess a thorough knowledge of the nails, including a basic knowledge of hand and foot massage techniques and a neat application of polish. The Nail Technician must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our spa's specific nail service offerings.

The candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guests. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, caring and professional, and have the ability to make others feel good about themselves.

What We Expect - Responsibilities:

Provide consistent professional nail, hand and foot treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
Provide high quality manicures and pedicures, including polish, cuticle and nail shaping
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.
Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
Actively promote home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals.
Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures.
Adhere to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring time schedule.
Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly manner, accompanying them to and from treatment areas, and thanking them sincerely on departure.
Perform prep work and properly clean and restock treatment areas as required.
Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
Actively promote the spa, treatments and services, sessions, retail product, and programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
Handle guests' questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.

What We're Looking for
- Qualifications:

Must hold and maintain a current Tennessee state license in Nail Technician
High School graduate or the equivalent required
Additional certifications in massage a plus
Detail oriented, patient and good eye-hand coordination skills
Must demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for outstanding customer service to build loyalty with guests
Ability to up-sell products and services to guests and cultivate return business
Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality
Excellent communication and listening skills
Basic computer knowledge in POS / CRM system and MS Office and email
Must be a team player and willing to jump in and assist for guest satisfaction at all levels
Must be willing and able to work any hours during normal operating times (includes weekends)

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen
The employee is required to stand for long periods of time, as well as frequently sitting and walking. Use of hands, arms and fingers necessary.
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds

Compensation and Benefits:

$15 per hour for out of service and 60% commission for in service
401K plan after 6 months of service
