Senior Director of Emergency Services

** Job Summary*
* The Senior Director, Emergency Services is responsible for leading and overseeing clinical operations within Emergency Services, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. This role provides strategic and operational leadership, manages resources, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize clinical services, patient outcomes, and staff development.

** Essential Functions*
* + Leads clinical operations for Emergency Services, establishing and implementing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent and quality patient care.

+ Develops and executes strategic initiatives to support growth, resource optimization, and alignment with organizational goals.

+ Collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership to monitor performance metrics, implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

+ Provides leadership and direction to clinical management and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

+ Ensures staff training, competency, and professional development are aligned with clinical standards and organizational objectives.

+ Oversees patient safety and risk management initiatives within the department, addressing issues proactively and ensuring a safe care environment.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Complies with all policies and standards.

** Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required

+ 8-10 years of experience in clinical management, with significant experience in a senior leadership role within a specialized service line (e.g., Emergency, Surgical) required

+ 4-6 years of experience in management in a large tertiary facility or Market required

+ Experience in leading successful performance Improvement efforts in an acute care setting required

+ Strategic and analytical skills to guide service line growth, resource management, and process optimization.

+ Budget management and resource allocation skills to support efficient and effective service delivery.

** Licenses and Certifications*
* + RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required

+ CENP - Certified in Executive Nursing Practice preferred
