The Rolling Hills Hospital is a 130-bed behavioral health hospital in Franklin, Tennessee, providing inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services for adolescents, adults, and seniors. The Pharmacy Technician
, under the direct supervision of the pharmacist and within all regulatory rules governing pharmaceutical services, provides for complete pharmaceutical services to the facility. This position will specialize in Prior Authorizations and will work closely with pharmacies, physicians, insurance companies and patients to obtain approvals for prescriptions requiring prior authorization. Other duties include assisting with other pharmacy tasks as needed.

This position is funded through December 2026 as part of the Psychiatric Hospital Grant with potential expansion through December 2027.

Qualifications Education/Training- High School graduate, or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
- Current Pharmacy technician registration
- Current Tennessee Driver's License
- Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred.
- Previous experience in hospital pharmacy is preferred.
- A working knowledge of Joint Commission Standards, and state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience with Omnicell preferred.
- Previous experience with Prior Authorizations is preferred.
