OverviewThis Solutions Architect role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing application architectures that support complex business needs for the client's pharmacy team and department.
The position partners with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions, while also advising senior leadership on emerging technologies and long-term architectural strategy. The role plays a critical part in enabling strategic decision-making and operational efficiency and may be based in multiple locations or remote.

Pay: $75 - $80/hr, paid weekly, benefits eligible
Solutions Architect Duties- Define and execute application architecture strategies aligned with project goals and organizational standards.
- Lead and oversee architectural initiatives across assigned projects or domains, ensuring quality, scalability, and performance.
- Design end-to-end application solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements such as SLAs, response times, and real-time or near–real-time processing.
- Mentor and guide architects and engineers, supporting skill development and consistent architectural practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, data engineers, IT partners, and leadership to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies, recommending adoption to improve application architecture and processes.
- Lead and participate in architecture and design reviews, identify gaps, and recommend improvements or modernization opportunities.
- Actively contribute to the broader architecture community to drive modernization while accounting for the complexity of enterprise IT environments.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture roles such as technical lead, solutions architect, or enterprise architect.
- Strong expertise in designing for non-functional requirements including SLAs, performance, concurrency, and real-time or near–real-time systems.
- Deep experience with interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7.
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
- 5+ years working with SQL and No
SQL databases including Mongo
DB and Redis. - 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, microservices architectures, and API design.
- Hands-on experience with Dev Ops and streaming technologies including Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Git, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with AI and ML technologies, particularly Generative AI and large language models.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Experience with enterprise interoperability solutions, cloud certifications, or large-scale legacy-to-modern platform migrations is preferred.
