Platform Engineer (Enterprise Shared Services)

Contract - 12 months+

Role Purpose

Designs, builds, and operates the enterprise data platform that enables ingestion, certification, governance, marketplace access, analytics, and AI at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate shared data ingestion and processing frameworks
• Implement platform standards (bronze/silver/gold patterns)
• Enable catalog, lineage, marketplace, and access workflows
• Automate certification, quality checks, and masking enforcement
• Manage platform CI/CD, environments, and reliability
• Support onboarding of new domains and data products

Core Skills & Experience

• Cloud and platform engineering
• Data platform architecture
• Automation and infrastructure-as-code
• CI/CD and Data Ops practices
• Familiarity with metadata, lineage, and access patterns

What This Role Owns

• Platform reliability and scalability
• Reusable frameworks and patterns
• Tool integrations and configurations
• "Paved road" for domains

What This Role Does Not Own

• Business logic
• Dashboards, AI models, or apps
• Domain prioritization decisions

• Platform architecture and standards
• Shared ingestion and certification pipelines
• Marketplace and catalog enablement
• Automated access and governance controls

Success Measures

• High platform reuse across domains
• Minimal manual intervention
• Predictable onboarding of new datasets and domains
• Low operational risk
