Data Engineer (Domain‑Aligned)
12 month + Contract
Role PurposeBuilds and maintains domain‑specific data pipelines and transformations that turn raw source data into trusted, certified datasets ready for analytics and AI.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines
- Implement business logic, cleansing, and deduplication
- Create and maintain bronze to silver to gold data layers
- Partner with data stewards on data quality and certification
- Troubleshoot data issues and root causes
- Optimize pipelines for reliability and performance
- ETL/ELT development
- SQL and data transformation frameworks
- Data modeling (analytical and relational)
- Understanding of data quality concepts
- Familiarity with domain data (Customer, Dealer, Supplier, etc.)
- Domain‑specific ingestion and transformations
- Business logic implementation
- Dataset reliability for downstream use
- Platform architecture
- Tool administration
- Governance policy definition
- Reliable data pipelines
- Certified domain datasets
- Transformation documentation
- Stable, automated pipelines
- Data quality issues reduced over time
- Certified data available when promised
