Senior Microsoft 365 Solutions Architect

Full-Time Contract (1099 or Corp-to-Corp)
Duration: 4 Months

Location:

Hybrid (1–2 days/week) in Franklin, TN preferred (Open to remote for highly qualified candidates)
Rate: $95 – $140+/hr (Dependent on experience)

Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Solutions Architect for a 4-month contract to lead and personally execute critical M365 initiatives across a multi-location enterprise. This is a highly technical, execution-focused role for a seasoned professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to configure, migrate, and optimize enterprise cloud environments.

What You'll Do Architect & Execute:
Serve as the technical lead and primary implementation resource for enterprise M365 environments.

Configure & Administer:
Personally manage tenant optimizations, migrations, security enhancements, and identity management initiatives.

Secure the Tenant:
Develop governance standards, conditional access strategies, and compliance controls.

Document & Mentor:
Create technical architecture diagrams and operational procedures while providing knowledge transfer to internal IT staff.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

10+ years of total IT experience with 5–7+ years dedicated to M365 architecture and hands-on execution.

Core Toolkit:
Recent, expert-level experience personally configuring Entra , Exchange Online, Intune, Defender, and Power Shell automation.

Security Focus:
Proven success implementing Conditional Access, MFA, device compliance, and Zero Trust principles.

Independence:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex M365 issues independently.

Preferred Qualifications Secondary Tools:

Experience with Microsoft Purview, Copilot, and Power Platform.

Certifications:

Microsoft Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert or Cybersecurity Architect Expert.

Environment:
Experience managing hybrid Active Directory in a multi-site enterprise.
