Position Summary: As a Network Engineer at Provisions Group you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, optimizing, and troubleshooting network solutions for our Mid to enterprise clients. Your expertise in network hardware and software, coupled with your general network experience, will enable you to lead network projects, create comprehensive documentation, and guide junior engineers when necessary. With full support from PG, you will have a strong desire to continually enhance your technical knowledge and attain relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE7, etc).

Must Haves:

  • Must be able to travel to customer sites in the Middle Tennessee area as needed.
  • Must have strong proficiency with Fortinet firewalls, Forti Manager, SD-WAN, ADVPN, and dynamic routing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust network solutions, emphasizing Fortinet technologies, to meet client requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed network diagrams and network infrastructure inventories.
  • Partner with Lead and Senior Network Engineers to prioritize projects and backlog tasks across many retainer-based customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network integration, migration, and consolidation projects.
  • Drive network reliability improvements through proactive network infrastructure reviews, lifecycle management, and performance tuning.
  • Help drive continuous improvement efforts, including process standardization, documentation, and operational best practices.
  • Respond to unplanned events that adversely affect customer network or computing environments.
  • Identify, track, and manage upgrades to network assets and infrastructure; this includes associated switches, routers, firewalls, modems, fiber optic cables, wireless access points, network cables, and cloud networking.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance technical skills and attain industry certifications.
  • Perform cable management and install network equipment in various conditions, including walls, racks, and other infrastructure.
  • Travel to customer sites in middle Tennessee as needed.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Deliver courteous and polite customer service to clients while maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and maintain efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on network engineering and architecture.
  • Strong proficiency with Fortinet firewalls, Forti Manager, SD-WAN, ADVPN, and dynamic routing is required.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing enterprise-level networks.
  • Strong familiarity with Fortinet hardware and firewalls.
  • Desire and commitment to obtain industry certifications – certification expenses will be covered by the company.
  • Proven experience in integrating, migrating, and consolidating networks.
  • Cable management skills and the ability to install network equipment in various environments.
  • Effective troubleshooting skills for network connectivity issues.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a courteous and polite demeanor.
  • Strong sense of urgency, time management skills, and a commitment to efficiency.
